Art Stage Singapore
14th January 2011
Art patrons, gallerists, artists, and members of the global contemporary art community were personally invited by Art Stage Singapore’s Fair Director Lorenzo Rudolf to an exclusive dinner event, held in a warehouse location in Tanjong Pagar Distripark. The event served as an opportunity for our guests to interact with one another, and gain insight into the art scene in Asia.
The VIP guests were treated to an assortment of Asian-inspired canapés and buffet dinner, served by a troupe of female terracotta warriors. Entertainment for the evening was provided by Singaporean contemporary gamelan band Gamma Rays, which was accompanied by a backdrop of live visuals depicting scenes from obscure Asian cinema and animation. Entertainment also included a performance by Ban Lian mask performer, as well as a 3-D projection mapped onto a 4-metre wide Chinese mask.
